This summer was incredibly busy for the Art Alley Guild. We had our hands in so many different projects, not just in Art Alley, but throughout the region.
- We performed live paint demo's at Chaos Makers Fair, Culture Shock Festival, Community College Park Block Party.
- We were part of the Rapid City Convention and Visitors Bureau's Denver street team, creating a mural live at the Denver Zoo, and Art Alley was featured on the JumboTron at the Colorado Rockies baseball game.
- We helped create art in tiger and bear cages at the Spirit of the Black Hills animal sanctuary.
- We performed a large scale clean up day with the United Way.
- We helped Feeding South Dakota install children's advocacy-inspired art.
- We invited the community out for our monthly Open Paint Sessions.
- We hosted several Art Alley Guild meetings, and the group grew more than past years.
- We helped host the Rapid City leg of the Cheyenne River Youth Project's "RedCan Jam", South Dakota's first major graffiti jam with nationally renowned artists.
- Art Alley was featured in numerous blogs and articles, featured as one of the 21 most colorful city's in the world, and featured on Yahoo and Yahoo Travel's Instagram accounts.
